Blackjack

Rules

• 8 standard decks of 52 cards – cards are returned to the deck after each hand and reshuffled.
• Number cards, 2-10, count as face value. Face cards, kings, queens and jacks, are equal in value to 10 and aces are valued at either 1 or 11. There is no special significance to any of the 4 suits.
• The dealer is dealt two cards, and the player is dealt two cards in each box.
• The player's cards are dealt face up, while the dealer's first card is shown.
• A player can choose an additional card by clicking Hit.
• A player may repeat this as many times as he likes so long as the total of his cards is less than 21.
• If the total surpasses 21, it is called a 'bust' and the player automatically loses.
• Once a player is satisfied with the cards dealt, click Stand.
• After the player is finished, the dealer reveals the face down card and decides whether to take another card.
• The dealer must have cards totaling 17 or more before standing.
• The dealer must stand on soft 17 (ie where total of dealer's cards is 17 and one card is an Ace).
• If the value of the player's card is greater than the dealer's, or if the dealer busts then the player is the winner.
• If the player's card total is the same as the dealer it is considered a 'push' and the player’s bet is returned.
• After the end of the game, winnings are paid and the player has the choice to ‘Rebet’ or make a ‘New bet’ which might include reducing or increasing the number of hands played and the amount bet on each.

Blackjack

• A picture card or a 10 plus an ace is considered Blackjack.
• The player wins 1.5 x bet when dealt a Blackjack.
• The player automatically loses if the dealer is dealt a Blackjack.
• If both are dealt a Blackjack it is considered a push and the player’s bet is returned.

Splitting

• If a player is dealt two cards of the same value (including two of the same face cards), there is a choice to 'split' the cards and double the initial bet.
• Only one split is allowed
• The player will now be playing two hands.
• The first hand is dealt a second card.
• The player must decide whether to Stand or take another card by clicking Hit.
• After the first hand, the player moves onto the second.
• After the player is satisfied with both hands, the dealer continues to play.
• If you receive an Ace and a picture card or a 10 on a hand that has been split, this counts as a 21, rather than a Blackjack. This means that if the dealer gets a natural Blackjack, this will beat the 21.

Note: The player cannot hit on split Aces. The dealer deals a second card only for each hand.

Double

• The player may double the bet after viewing the first two cards.
• Only one additional card is dealt to complete the hand after doubling.
• It is also possible to Double after a Split, (except after splitting two aces).

Betting

• In the middle of screen, there are chips of different values.
• By clicking one of them before you start to play, you can select the chip value of your bet.
• If there are arrows showing to the left and right of the chips, click them to see additional chip values that you can bet with.

Paytable

The payout format means that when you win, you get your bet plus a multiple of your bet.

When playing with the optimal strategy the theoretical average return to player (RTP) is 99.42%. This RTP represents the long-term expected payback of the game which has been calculated by an independent testing company.

Interrupted play

We know that internet connections can sometimes be unreliable or something can interrupt the game. We try to make this as fair as possible to you. For example, if you run out of battery while playing or you've reached your personal daily time limit, when you return, the game will start at the point you left.

If you are unable to return within 24 hours, the game will complete using the following rules: your hand(s) will automatically ‘stand’ and the dealer will play as normal according to standard rules. Any winnings will be paid according to what happens with the dealer’s hand.

Demo Play

The Operator's Demo Mode games are a sample of the Play for Real version. They play with the exact same rules and random number generator. Demo Mode versions of games allow you to play for 'fun money' that has no financial value. Please note that Demo Play is not available in some jurisdictions.

Gaming System Malfunction

The Operator reserves the right to withhold winnings and void wagers if a Player manipulates the games in a fraudulent manner or the Gaming System itself malfunctions. The definition of such a malfunction extends to an error in the published odds or pay tables, or a game not working in accordance with its published rules.
